The GAP trail itself is an easy climb, however there is one campground that is not. The Ohiopyle state park campground is beautiful, but it's about 0.7 miles up a very steep gravel trail. I had heard from various people differing reports about the height of the hill (one said skip it, it's too hard and another said it's not very far up). I'm reporting that it is hard. I got into town early and had lunch, and had planned to drop my stuff off at camp and head back into town for dinner, but after one climb I decided I could eat the next day. Luckily my neighbors offered me a delicious burger and great conversation around their campfire.

Note: If you haven't made a reservation, you have to do even more climbing to the camground entrance. After all that climbing they charge you $35, the most I've paid for a campground so far on this trip.
