What I didn't realize when I booked my flight was that it got in at midnight New York time which was 4 am Iceland time. By the time I had my bike put together and left the airport it was around 7 am which got me into the city at around 11 am. That meant no time for sleep except the measly hour I got on the plane (play's seats are only one step up from spirit's). I'm glad I decided on a rest day in Reykjavik. I check in as soon as I could at the hostel and took a couple hour nap, careful not to let myself sleep to long so I could try to go to bed at a reasonable hour. I went to the happy hour at the hostel but didn't meet anyone which was fine because I was too exhausted to socialize. I finally let myself sleep at 10PM. I seem to have a stuffed up nose either from a cold or just the temperature change.

The next day I went to several museums about Reykjavik and animal penises (check out the phallic Museum, it's actually really informative), Tried some local beer at RVK (it's decent but expensive) and walked around the city. it was the eve of Icelandic Independence Day so the locals were doing a lot of celebrating that evening and far into the night. I wanted to join but was still really tired.
